Tommy, Joy & Kathe

Skin and Bonz is a trio that started as a duet of Tommy Bledsoe and Joy D’Elia on the streets of St. Augustine, FL, playing harmonica and banjo (the “skin” forms the banjo drum head) and bones (ancient rhythm instruments made of rib bones) and performing music from Tommy’s Appalachian heritage and Joy’s strong harmonies. The band became a trio when it added Kathe O’Donnelly’s rhythm guitar and rich vocal talents. The band members play multiple instruments, including banjo, harmonica, fiddle, bass, jarana, ukulele and guitar, creating a full string band sound.
